About Dr. Ernest James Kahn

Dr. James Kahn grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and got his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. He went to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Sciences-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. After doing his Internal Medicine residency in Chicago, IL, he then worked and taught for several years in hospital medicine in San Francisco, CA. He moved to Austin with his family in 2017 and joined a private Internal Medicine group working in hospitals such as St. David’s Medical Center. He has been recognized several times for his outstanding leadership and professionalism in medicine and currently still serves as the Medical Director at a skilled nursing facility. Dr. Kahn is married with twin girls, and in his free time enjoys family time, reading, traveling, and watching Dallas area and Texas Longhorns sports teams.
