Dr. Ernie Sorenson is a board certified podiatrist, a foot and ankle surgeon and the founder of Sorenson Foot and Ankle in Magnolia, Texas, proudly serving patients throughout Magnolia and the greater Houston area. With more than a decade of experience treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions—from bunions and heel pain to complex trauma and diabetic wounds—Dr. Sorenson provides expert, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah and graduate of the University of Utah, Dr. Sorenson earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio and completed an intensive three-year surgical residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Michigan. He has practiced in Oregon, Michigan, and now Texas, where he provides a wide range of in-office treatments and procedures, including care for bunions, hammertoes, tendinitis, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, warts, athlete’s foot, flat feet, neuropathy, and various skin and nail conditions. He also offers custom orthotic evaluation and fitting, diabetic foot care, wound management, and performs surgical procedures at local surgery centers and hospitals.
Dr. Sorenson is known for his down-to-earth communication style, compassionate care, and dedication to helping patients get back on their feet—literally and figuratively. He is fluent in Spanish and continues to serve the Magnolia and Houston area communities with warmth and excellence.

Dr. Sorenson is wonderful! He is very knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He really wants to understand what’s bothering you and figure out how he can help you to the best of his ability. It was nice that he had an in-house x-ray machine and could take an x-ray and sit and discuss it with you and point out certain aspects of your condition so that you have a really good understanding of what the problem is. He did not rush through the appointment and took his time and was very personable and caring.

Doctor Sorenson is a very great doctor. He seems truly passionate to help, and is very kind. The staff is very nice as well. The entire office is very clean and very cute and it felt very comfortable in there. Dr. Sorenson was extremely helpful and proficient and I would recommend him!

Dr. Sorenson and his wife were both so nice. This was my first visit and they really made me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr Sorenson was very down to earth, took his time with me, patiently answered all my questions, and thoroughly explained everything to me. He was also very opened minded about options for treatment and wasn’t quick to recommend something invasive. I’ll definitely continue to go to him.

Dr Sorenson is an extremely compassionate doctor! He sat with my husband and I every time to make sure our questions were answered and developed a plan of care due to the complexity of my disease. He is an extremely skilled surgeon and doctor! I would recommend Dr Sorenson to anyone who asked me for a podiatrist!!
