Dr. Allen completed his residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Upon completion, he became board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Initially drawn to the field of medicine due to a strong interest in the sciences, Dr. Allen found his passion for psychiatry after recognizing the profound impact that mental health has on an individual’s quality of life, particularly in the context of severe mental illness. He believes deeply in the connection between physical health and mental well-being, understanding how one can influence the other.
