Dr. Evelyn de Villiers, PhD

Psychologist
NY
I am a general clinical psychologist who primarily sees clients via telehealth through Zoom, Doxy, or phone. I treat individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. As a relationship expert passionate about saving marriages, I specialize in helping busy, hard-working couples and individuals improve their lives in an empathic and safe environment. Drawing on my Christian faith, years of experience, and an evidence-based approach, I help clients navigate difficult seasons of life by providing tools and resources that promote positive, lasting results. In addition to couples therapy, I enjoy working with stepfamilies. I conducted my research and dissertation on stepfamilies and am a mom and stepmom to seven children. I am devoted to preventing the heartache of divorce whenever possible, while also working diligently with families affected by divorce to reduce the damage and conflict that often arise. I also have a deep appreciation for special forces and military families. I offer special discounts to military service members, law enforcement, firefighters, and their families, as they hold a special place in my heart. It is my privilege to support and help our nation’s greatest heroes. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Bakersfield, and completed both my Master’s in Clinical Psychology and PhD at Alliant International University, San Diego.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
