About Dr. Ezequiel Cassinelli
Ezequiel Cassinelli, M.D., joined Peachtree Orthopedics in September 2007. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Cassinelli has authored numerous book chapters and research publications on topics related to spinal disorders, and is the recipient of many honors and awards of excellence. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French and Portuguese.
Dr. Cassinelli earned his B.A. from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he was a three-year letter on the men’s swim team. He completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical School where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors medical society his junior year. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2003, and served as a clinical instructor there from 2003 to 2004. He scored in the 99th percentile on Part I of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery licensure exam. He then completed fellowship training in spine surgery under the renowned spine surgeon, Dr. Henry Bohlman, in 2005. Dr. Cassinelli stayed on as faculty after his fellowship as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Case Medical Center from 2005 to 2007.

Cold and callous doctor that will dismiss your chronic pain. His staff were so kind and actually asked questions to try to understand my years of chronic cervical and lumbar spine pain. He was the polar opposite. He said my X-rays look fine and I asked about degeneration bc of the problems I’ve been having. And he said “yeah there’s some degeneration”. He watched me cry without a modicum of empathy, no offering of kind words, a tissue, anything. Said there was nothing he could do about 5 years of chronic back pain and maybe if I’d hurt my back yesterday, he’d recommend some ice. I wouldn’t recommend him to an even an enemy. If you need a Dr that cares and will listen and talk through options, stay away from Dr Cassinelli.
