The provider brushed me off entirely. I informed him that I am prone to bronchitis, and am very familiar with the first signs. He wanted to prescribe steroids, which I am unable to take, and informed the provider of such as well. I am now in the hospital with severe pneumonia. The provider (a man) kept looking me (a female) up and down my body rather than maintaining consistent eye contact. It was very, very, very uncomfortable.
