About Fastmed Urgent Care Leland
For more than 20 years, FastMed has served as the front door of healthcare for North Carolina communities. Our mission is to provide patients with the best end-to-end healthcare experience in terms of quality, accessibility, empathy, and affordability.
In 2024, a North Carolina-based health insurance company acquired all North Carolina FastMed locations. This enables two North Carolina companies with shared values to work together to fortify healthcare capacity in the state, so North Carolinians have access to critical points of quality, affordable care. While FastMed and this company operate independently, we collaborate, all with the goal of enhancing the patient and team member experience.

The office staff needs to communicate the wait time to a patient when you have an appointment. 8:30am appointment, wasn’t seen till 9:30am. Common courtesy would be to inform the patient of a delay. What is the purpose of appointment schedule. Communication is the key.

Upon arrival for an 8:25 appointment, we were told “the systems were down” and there was no telling when they would be up and running for the appointment. This was the second time I have attempted to use this facility in 2 years (the first time was also unsuccessful because of unknown wait times) and now will always be sure to choose a different location and provider. The office staff employee was not the friendliest (I can understand the frustration having no working computers must be) however, the overall interior truly needs a refresh as it is rather unclean and dingy. Definitely not a great urgent care at all. I cannot speak about the medical provider/doctor as we were never seen.

Quick and efficient. No issues once I was called back to see the doctor. Excellent nurse for intake. He was great. Doctor was pleasant and made me feel comfortable.
