About Dr. Fernando Mariz
Dr. Fernando Mariz is a New York City-based gynecologist with a passion
for contemporary medicine and a commitment to providing exceptional
patient care. He specializes in preventative care, pelvic pain,
abnormal uterine bleeding, and sonography. Dr. Mariz is dedicated to
creating a positive experience for each patient, building strong
relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
Dr. Mariz's general gynecology practice covers all aspects of women's
health, including pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, urinary tract
infections, vaginal discharge, fertility, menopause, sexual health,
and weight management. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, and
Spanish, and believes in establishing strong partnerships with his
patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Mariz received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry
from Florida State University, followed by his Medical Degree from
Poznan University of Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in
Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toledo Medical Center,
where he was honored with the "Teacher of the Year" award for his
exceptional teaching skills and inducted into the American Association
for Gynecologic Laparoscopists for his expertise in minimally invasive
surgery.
