“Dr. Shehaj is probably the best doctor I have ever seen. I wish she could be my GP. Her bedside manner and attitude is always positive. She listens thoroughly and has always validated any concerns I have. She is thorough and does it with a smile. I have never felt silly bringing up any concerns I have because she takes time to talk it through and follows up if it’s necessary with whatever steps need to be taken. She was crucial, especially in my post partum period. I can not say enough good things about her care. The office is also clean & the staff are also so pleasant and kind. ”

Dr. Shehaj first graduated from the SUNY Downstage College of Medicine. She then went on to finish her residency with the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her postgraduate training and gained her fellowship in cardiology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, serving as chief fellow during her final year. She would later become board certified in internal medicine. At Richmond University Medical Center, Dr. Shehaj specializes in women’s heart health. She provides expert management for heart failure, works with advanced cardiac imaging, and continues to educate medical students and residents.
