About Dr. Frank Russo
Dr. Russo is a graduate of Glenbard South High School, Illinois State University, and the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating from podiatric medical school in 1995, he completed two years of post-graduate surgical training and is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He joined Instep Podiatry in 1997. In addition to his office hours in Wheaton, Dr. Russo also treats patients at the Alexian Brothers Wound clinic. He is on staff at Central DuPage Hospital, Glen Oaks Hospital, Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Alexian Brothers Medical Center, as well as various surgery centers. He enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle care, especially sports injuries such as heel pain and sprains/fractures, congenital abnormalities such as bunions and flat feet, and wound care. His practice philosophy is to include the patient in their treatment plan by educating them on their issue and treatment options.
Dr. Russo grew up in Glen Ellyn and is married with two daughters. Dr. Russo enjoys sports, music, and cars. He is a member of the United States Triathlon Association and participates in several short course races a year.

Dr. Frank H. Russo and his team are very professional and courteous. Dr. Russo and his assistant Mary took the time to understand the reason of my visit and they answered all of my questions with concise and helpful answers. Dr. Russo has a friendly bedside manner. He took more time with me than most of the podiatrists and orthopedic doctors have that I’ve seen in the past. I felt like he listened well to my issue, provided useful information on my condition, and presented a clear and realistic path forward with options that will help me to treat my issue while continuing to be athletic and involved in the sports and activities that I participate in. His staff was friendly and helpful both at the front desk and back office. Upon leaving the receptionist up front provided me with all of the paperwork I needed to follow up on my recommended treatment and despite having a limited availability for appointments, she found me an appointment in the amount of time I needed to come back that would work with my schedule. Overall, I felt cared for and look forward to being treated by Dr. Russo in the future.

Very pleased with everyone in the office prior to being seen by Dr. Russo. Very friendly and genuinely concerned about my experience.
Dr. Russo explained my treatment options and took the time to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. I was very comfortable from the beginning once I met him. I never felt any pressure to make a hasty decision on my treatment options.
Overall it was a very positive experience and I will definitely be a continuing patient with this practice. Would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Dr. Russo and staff are friendly, professional, and very facilitative. Patients are greeted by name, wait time is minimal. Dr. Russo never rushes through appointments and takes the time to establish rapport in addition to offering excellent medical care.
