I take great pride in joining patients on their journey in diagnosing and managing their conditions, selecting the most appropriate therapies, and seeing the significant improvements in their quality of life and skin health. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed an internship in Internal Medicine at MedStar Harbor Hospital, and finished my residency in Dermatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Anselmo was pleasant to be in the care of, he was knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and my visit was quick and not stressful. His office as a whole from the front desk to the assistant seems to be good at what it does as well and I recommend him to anyone needing dermatology care.

After my very short wait for my appointment, Dr. Anselmo gave a thorough skin survey with a clear explanation of any potential issues on my skin. We talked about options and follow-ups, and he answered all my questions clearly and to the level of detail that I wanted. Definitely will be going back for future visits.
The only issue I had was that the prescription did not get sent the same day, and it was difficult to get back to a live person at the office number - had to leave a voice mail 3 times before getting a call back.

Dr. Freidrich Anselmo is an excellent dermatologist. He is kind, attentive, and a great listener. He’s honestly one of the best doctors I’ve ever met.
His assistant (I didn’t catch her name) was wonderful as well - friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this practice!

I appreciated my appointment with Dr. Freidrich Anselmo. He was thorough and helpful in guiding me in why I was there and what my follow up steps would look like. BUT I will not be returning because the front end staff were absolutely horrible. They kept adding on charge after charge (I had to pay 3 times) and I waited for over 15 minutes while they tried to figure out how much more to charge me. (I had no idea I would be paying a 3rd time after already paying for the session AND medicine.) I unfortunately won't be returning to him and will be looking for another Dermatologist to see and it is ONLY because of the staff, who are too busy to send me an itemized receipt for what exactly I was being charged for.

I had folliculitis and keratosis pilaris because of which I was feeling uncomfortable to show my arms. Thats the reason I booked an appointment with a male doctor TBH. But this doctor has a female assistant and I dont know why she is brought along with him during the session. I was pretty uncomfortable to even talk when she was there and could not even explain my issues to him. All she did was writing prescriptions and he could have done it himself as many doctors do that. Me being uncomfortable, I thought Dr would ask her to leave but he never did and I couldnot even explain my issues as being embarrased after driving 40 mins to see him. I think he is a good doctor and cannot comment on his treatment but if he alone spends time with patients or if he has male assistant, it would be good. I was made to wait for 15 mins which is not bad but I was sweating through out my time in the hospital as the room was not temp controlled ig.

Office was busy with other patients. However front desk staff assisted me immediately, check-in was a breeze and wait was less than 30 minutes to see Doctor. Doctor Anselmo was very nice, communicative and explained everything that he was doing. He was very clear and answered all my questions. Very professional! I was in and out! Great service and highly recommended. Will definitely return for any urgent matters

10/10. Dr Anselmo was incredible start to finish. Listened to my concerns and treated me with nothing but kindness, patience and respect. Very friendly guy who definitely works hard to create a comfortable atmosphere for his patients. Even when i was being a huge wimp about an injection (i hate needles), he was still patient and encouraging and made the process quick and painless. A true professional, and even though i live practically an hour away, with the care i received today i would definitely come back in a heartbeat with any skin related concerns or needs i have. Thats how great my experience was. Not just the doctor, but all of the staff were pleasant, patient and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Dr. Anselmo was warm, bright, efficient, friendly and professional, a far cry from my previous doctor.
He explained everything he would undertake and then gave me a very thorough exam. Exactly what I wanted! Felt completely at ease with him and now I have a new and trusted doctor!
Would also like to note that his assistant/staff member Kaitlyn/Caitlyn (sp?) was equally warm and energetic! She welcomed me into the office and really put me at ease, again a very different experience from the other office.
Thank you Doctor Anselmo for a terrific exam, you and your staff's kindness really show through!
