About Dr. Gavin Tsuchida
Born and raised in Torrance, Dr. Tsuchida graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences. He then received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York and completed a comprehensive 4-year foot and ankle surgical residency at New York Presbyterian Queens, a Level 1 Trauma Center. During his training, Dr. Tsuchida was exposed to all manner of foot and ankle pathologies ranging from fungal nails, heel pain, ingrown nails, tendonitis, arthritis, and lacerations, all the way to complicated foot and ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery. He was also fortunate to spend a significant portion of his senior year at NYP Columbia & NYP Weill Cornell. At NYP Columbia, he furthered his knowledge of sports medicine and complicated elective reconstructive surgeries. At NYP Weill Cornell, Dr. Tsuchida worked with the Program for Advanced Limb Preservation (PALP) team which furthered his expertise in preventing major amputation and managing complicated ulcers, amputations and infections as part of a comprehensive interdisciplinary team. Now, happy to be back in the SouthBay, Dr. Tsuchida is excited to serve his community at Archstone Foot and Ankle Institute.

Super easy to make the appointment, short wait time, beautiful office, friendly office staff, and great bedside manners from the doctor. Would have rather carterized the ingrown toenail instead of just cutting to put an end once and for all to an ongoing problem.

I was put in an office all the way in the back it appeared to be a storage office there was a vacuum right next to my chair where I was sitting seemed off and not a professional environment I would like to continue treatment with. I was told I may need surgery but wouldn’t consider given the room they put me in.
