George G. Khouri, M.D. completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago and his fellowship in retinal diseases at Harvard Medical School. Prior to opening his practice in West Palm Beach, he served on the faculty of Tufts University for four years, where he was awarded two research grants on macular degeneration. He also spent seven months as a volunteer ophthalmologist in India, Kenya, and Nepal.
A summa cum laude graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, Dr. Khouri received his M.D. from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine. He then spent one year conducting eye research at Johns Hopkins University before starting his ophthalmology residency.
Dr. Khouri is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is listed in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. He has lectured at national conferences. He conducted research and was awarded 2 eye research grants.

The office was not crowded. I was there for a routine eye visit. I waited 2 hours. Doc's excuse was that his last patient had many questions. It really messed up my day.

Dr. Georg Khouri performed eye surgery to remove an advanced-stage pterygium in my right eye. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure to me and helped relieve my concerns. The staff at the front desk is very welcoming. The technician that assisted me was very caring and patient. She explained in detail each inspection and procedures she was performing. The doctor is very informative, he answered and provide recommendations for all my questions.

I went for pre-surgical clearance and a complete eye exam. Staff was very efficient. Dr came in to do his part and spent most of his time trying to sell me on an insanely expensive Lasek procedure. I did get my prescription updated but when I tried to order my contacts online like I always do, the office would not authorize, saying I needed to come back in for another appointment for a fitting at an additional cost. Why wouldn’t that be included in the exam?

The doctor was rude during my exam and assumed a lot of things, which was very frustrating as a patient. The exam rooms are set up so the reading tests are in front of a window with light coming through and the letters are not contrasted enough to determine your focus. Not my favorite eye doctor office I’ve been to. But the office staff was great and my tech/assistant was amazing!

This was one of the most, if not the most, thorough exam I have ever had. I appreciated the welcoming staff at the front desk, Sandy that conducted the refraction of the eyes along with other services and also the doctor who took his time to explain the results of my exam.. Dr Khouri ‘s office staff were inviting, pleasant and courteous upon arrival. In the new arena of Covid-19, I felt comfortable and safe with the social distancing and infection control practices his office instituted.
Dr. Khouri provided a very comprehensive thorough eye exam. I was pleased with his approach to provide education to allow patients to make informed decisions regarding care.
