“This was my first visit to Dr. Steinhauser since my previous podiatrist stopped accepting my insurance plan and I am glad I was forced to make a change. Dr. Steinhauser was courteous and explained everything well. He was more proactive and "hands on" than my other podiatrist who observed but was never close enough to touch my feet. I strongly recommend Dr. Steinhauser for caring professionalism and obvious great knowledge of his specialty.”

About Dr. Gian Steinhauser
As a team player with a deep dedication to serving his patients, Dr. Steinhauser strives to make patients informed and active participants in their foot and ankle care. He works closely with other physicians to ensure that patients receive the best care possible and are able to lead healthy, happy, and productive lives. With his calm and understanding manner, he fosters an open exchange of ideas between himself and his patients. His detail-oriented approach in the office and operating room, along with his focus on aesthetic skin closure, leads to better outcomes and quicker recovery for patients. His Swiss background has also helped him achieve fluency in Swiss-German, High German, and French.
Dr. Steinhauser earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University and completed his Residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University. He is qualified to perform Forefoot and Rearfoot Surgery, Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery, Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy, Diagnostic Ultrasound, Laser Therapy and Surgery, Radiographic and MRI Evaluations of the Foot and Ankle, Wound Care, Infectious Disease Management, Diabetic and other Limb Salvage, as well as countless minor to major podiatric procedures.
Outside of podiatry, his personal interests include road and mountain biking, triathlons, wakeboarding, snow skiing, metal and woodworking, gardening, and gourmet cooking.

Gian Steinhauser was so amazing. He was understanding to how nervous I was and did an amazing job explaining everything and going at my pace. He reassured me and walked me through everything he was doing. Gave me amazing and clear aftercare instructions as well. 5 stars. I would absolutely recommend him to others. I went to see Dr. Steinhauser because I’m experiencing pain on the ball of my foot when walking. I also have a bunion on my big toe. Dr. Steinhauser is very personable. Wasn’t sure but I said the pain is 6 out of 10, they sold the boot for me. After 1 day, my foot was recovered and no need for the boot anymore. I guess they could check closely more than my opinion to decide I needed a boot or not.
