About Dr. Gregory Fu
Gregory L. Fu, MD is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with experience in laser-assisted and premium lens cataract surgery. He was born and raised in the DC Metro area. After attending Thomas S. Wootton high school, he graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in bio-engineering.
Dr. Fu obtained his medical degree nearby at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he received the George Frick Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology. He then completed his ophthalmology residency training at Loyola University Medical Center and Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital in Chicago, IL, where he earned accolades for his patient care, educational/teaching prowess, and his research.
Dr. Fu strives to provide excellent, ethical, and compassionate care in a professional and friendly environment. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Overall very good experience. Went in because I thought I may have keratoconus. Staff there performed some quick exams and afterwards Dr. Fu came in and explained that I do have it and what that means in terms of future progression and possible treatments.

Staff was very friendly and I was seen right away. I had a chalazion I COULD NOT get rid of and finally needed to see a specialist. I drove from VA as Dr. Fu is very highly rated - for good reason! Dr. Fu was so kind and explained my options. I decided to have it drained and he was able to do it same day. I was in and out in under an hour. He explained the procedure and potential side effects. I did not feel nervous at all going into it. 10/10 would make an appt here again and recommend this place for any eye issues!

Pretty solid experience. Dr was patient with my questions. Doc assistant was also sweet. Receptionists were quick and no long waits — minor snag was they asked for stuff I filled on zocdoc but on prompting pulled it up. So doing duplicate it all. Calm place and no delays!

The office seems to setup to maximize profits. If you say hello, you have to provide your insurance information even if you provided the information 3 days before (my case). This office messed up my prescription and would not give me an appointment for recheck on timely basis.

The office is very modern, bright and clean. The waiting room is spacious. The staff are very friendly.
I found Dr. Fu under my insurance network and his location is convenient. I went to see Dr. Fu for general eye health due to my eye issues in the past.
Dr. Fu is very patient and he examined my eyes very carefully and said my eyes are very healthy. That gave me a peace of mind. I would recommend Dr. Fu to those who need eye care.

My visit to Dr. Fu was great. His assistant saw me right away and Dr. Fu answered all my questions knowledgeably and honestly. He gave good advice and didn't try to push unnecessary additional services or products.
They must have a problem with people missing their appointments because I received no less than 10 reminders in the days leading up to my appointment - sometimes multiple in one day.
