About Dr. Grigoriy Arutyunyan
Dr. Grigoriy Arutyunyan is an orthopaedic surgeon who has extensive training in diseases of the spine including: herniated cervical and lumbar spine disks, radiculopathy, spine deformity, degenerative scoliosis, spine tumors/cancer, osteoporosis, infections, spinal stenosis, disk replacement, spinal fusions and revision surgery. Some of the procedures in his area of expertise include: Anterior Cervical Decompression and Fusion, Laminoplasty, Posterior Cervical Laminectomy and Fusion, Posterior Cervical Laminoforaminotomy, Posterior Lumbar decompression, Lumbar Microdiscectomy, Posterior Laminectomy and Fusion and Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion. In addition to spine surgery, he is also trained in orthopaedic oncology and specializes in many malignant and benign conditions that may affect the spine or other areas of the body, including: Osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, Ewings sarcoma, metastatic breast/lung/kidney/thyroid cancer, and multiple myeloma. His training in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic oncology gives him a unique perspective on hip and knee replacement surgery. He uses modern technology, utilizing robotic assistance in maximizing surgical outcomes. Dr. Arutyunyan has published and presented at national and international meetings on topics pertaining to spine deformity, orthopedic oncology and cost effectiveness in orthopaedic spine surgery. Dr. Arutyunyan completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in the Department of Orthopaedics in Rochester, Minnesota. He also completed a spine fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco, California and an orthopaedic oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering

Dr. A is amazing. Sweet, kind, and looks a heck of a lot like Clark Kent. The latter being the sole reason I booked to begin with, being a comic book nut. But, he actually listened to me and even hugged me when I started to cry. I've been dealing with so called doctors not listening to me and just attributing my pain to my weight. Dr. A was the FIRST in my 12 year ordeal to listen, take an xray, and commit to solving the issue. I'm happy for the first time in ages and I cannot wait for him to operate on me. Please, do yourself a favor and visit this incredible gift to the medical field.

Dr A is great ... explains the problem and options throughly. We had trouble explaining the problem for my dad with many doctors before. Today Dr A got that issue satisfied in just one visit. Dr. A and his team were incredibly responsive in assessing my hip issue. The doctor was very thorough in explaining the diagnosis, drawing diagrams and answering my questions.
