Dr. Panjrath attended medical school at Kasturba Medical College in India. He completed his internship and residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he served as chief resident. He completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In addition to his fellowship training, he has undergone research training both at Johns Hopkins University, as well as, Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Panjrath has been published in peer reviewed journals and has received several national and international research awards. He also serves as a reviewer for several cardiovascular journals and websites. Dr. Panjrath is a member on the Heart Failure and Transplantation Council of American College of Cardiology and serves on committees of American Heart Association. He has a keen interest in trainee education and developing educational programs both at local and national levels. He has a particular interest in patients with various forms of heart failure and cardiomyopathies. He will be evaluating patients for therapies such as Left Ventricular Assist Device and Heart Transplantation for those with advanced disease. Dr. Panjrath believes in fostering long lasting partnerships with patients, so they can have a better understanding and control over their health.
