Additionally, he is a part of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Manasota Optometric Society. He was recently recognized for being a 25 year member of this advocacy group. Dr. Bausback’s philosophy as a doctor centers on taking a holistic approach to patient care, knowing that how people look and feel about themselves matters in helping patients see well and stay healthy. Prior to receiving his own optometry degree, Dr. Bausback worked in an optical laboratory at his father’s private optometry office for several years, making glasses, cutting lenses, and assisting people with their eyewear. He feels it is important that people leave his office seeing, feeling and looking their best, be it with attractive glasses or contact lenses. Dr. Bausback was born and raised in a small town near Michigan City, Indiana- A town roughly 30 miles East of Chicago. He has two children, and his wife is a native of Sarasota.
