About Dr. Hesam Naenifard
Dr. Naenifard is a double board certified surgeon in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He provides professional focus on limb salvage, sports medicine, musculoskeletal deformities, elective surgery and post traumatic reconstruction surgery of the foot and ankle. He has expertise with both conservative and surgical treatment options.
Dr. Naenifard is a native of North Carolina where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and Master’s of Science in Public Health from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was actively involved in scientific research labs as well as publishing his Master’s thesis. The specialty of podiatry became a newfound passion for Dr. Naenifard resulting from his own experiences throughout playing sports recreationally.
Upon earning his Master’s of Science degree, Dr. Naenifard obtained his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) at Touro College in Manhattan, NY. Dr. Naenifard has continued being actively involved in research throughout his professional school and publishing in the NYCPM Podiatric Medical Review. His drive and motive have earned him scholarships and publications throughout his educational career.
Dr. Naenifard completed his residency at Hoboken University Medical Center, New Jersey. During residency training, he performed high volume of surgical cases, consisting of trauma, reconstructive rearfoot surgery, elective forefoot correction, diabetic wound care, and limb salvage. Furthermore, Dr. Naenifard has attended multiple conferences and workshops to enhance his abilities and skills in the podiatric field. During residency, he presented case studies at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons annual Scientific Conference.
