Are you feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges or find yourself unable to move past certain obstacles? Many individuals I work with express feeling "stuck" and are seeking direction. In working with me, you will discover your inherent strengths and build the confidence needed to face life's hurdles head-on. In our therapy sessions, we'll pinpoint and modify behaviors that aren't contributing to your growth, allowing you to create a more fulfilling present. My approach is based on recognizing and leveraging your personal strengths, which clients find particularly effective. I hold a PsyD from Argosy University and specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma, as well as chronic pain management and women’s mental health. I also conduct bariatric psychological and disability/forensic evaluations, alongside engaging in couples and family therapy. Diversity is a value deeply embedded in my practice, and I am well-versed in assisting a wide array of demographic groups and ethnic minorities. Establishing a connection and providing a comfortable space for clients to open up is central to my work. This strong therapeutic relationship is crucial for successful outcomes, and I take pride in finding the right therapeutic match for each individual. My treatments are based on proven methods, are usually brief, and are known for their positive results.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a board-certified Clinical Psychologist by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), with licenses to practice in MN & WI. Thanks to PSYPACT, I'm also able to extend my services through telehealth across various states. Bringing over 17 years of diverse clinical experience, I strive to expertly guide my clients through their unique journeys. During our first meeting, we discuss your history and establish clear treatment objectives. The process begins with laying a foundation of trust, exploring coping mechanisms, and applying specific therapeutic techniques. This not only empowers clients but also fortifies their self-belief as they manage their difficulties. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based therapy methods, my aim is to empower you, instilling a renewed sense of hope. By integrating trauma-focused techniques like EMDR & ART, we work together to address and heal from past experiences. Take that important step towards self-empowerment and start your path to personal growth and wellness today.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first meeting, we take the time to understand your unique story and begin crafting a roadmap to wellness tailored just for you. It's in this initial session that we lay the foundations of a personalized treatment plan, one that progresses at your own pace. Together, we'll keep a hopeful eye on the future, celebrating each step forward in your therapeutic journey.
