Dr. Irina Raklyar hails from New York City. She recognized medicine as her calling at an early age, choosing to attend a prestigious medical program—one of a few in the country—that enabled her to accelerate her medical studies. She completed the Coordinated B.A./M.D. Honors Program at the City University of New York, Brooklyn College, graduating magna cum laude and with honors. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, College of Medicine, where she was bestowed the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Initiative for her community volunteer work. Dr. Raklyar completed her Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University, Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and stayed to complete her fellowship in Rheumatology, with scholarly research experience in systemic lupus erythematosus.
Dr. Raklyar has been serving patients in northern New Jersey for over 10 years as a board-certified rheumatologist, specializing in arthritis and autoimmune diseases. She prides herself on staying current and offering modern, evidence-based medicine. She has advanced her practice with experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound for both diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. As a certified clinical densitometrist, she is qualified in the interpretation of bone densitometry and treatment of osteoporosis. I would never recommend this doctor's office to anyone, I drove 45 mins got to my appointment 15 minutes early to be told that I was not in their system as having an appointment. I showed that I had booked my appointment thru this app and even got a confirmation email for the appointment yesterday and was told that your app is not working properly because there was no availability until November and that this app should have not allowed me to book an appointment. So I was very very upset. They said that this issue was on the ZocDoc app side not theirs.

Please save your time do not book through Zocdoc for this doctor. I was told that they are not associated with Zocdoc and that they are unable to see the appointments that are posted online, which is really unacceptable and not professional. I took a day off of work to attend this appointment just for it to actually not be appointment Providers in the office were not available October and my appointment was today July 30 and I refused to wait until October due to my abnormal labs.

The doctor was very nice and pleasant. But I have terrible difficulty with my hands .
I developed suddenly overnight
trigger thumb and I’ve had multiple fingers swelling information and painful.
My twin sister has rheumatological issues and my mother also died of her rheumatoid condition. I asked the doctor to do some rheumatoid
bloodwork and she refused. Given that it I could have some thing rheumatological I was very disappointed. I’m supposed to go back for a follow up .I have to go a second time to get blood work? No thank you. I’d rather see a doctor that will obviously do it the first time. She gave me a Cortizone shots which helped a little but I’d like to get to the root cause very disappointed with the lack of diagnostic tests
