About Dr. Ismael Gutierrez
I believe in practicing family medicine and treating all my patients with dignity, respect and compassion. I consider myself laid back and transparent with my patients, and I believe this translates into better physician-and-patient relationship. Taking a personal approach with every patient is also a key component in my practice.
Practicing family medicine allows me to work on a wide scope including preventative medicine and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions. Medical interests include patient wellness education and encouraging annual wellness exams; treatment of many chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, kidney disease, liver disease, cardiovascular disease, obesity.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy taking long road trips with my family, listening to music, dancing and playing sports. I grew up playing multiple sports and I also played soccer in college. I also consider myself a car enthusiast, I truly enjoy working in my personal cars. But my absolute joy in life is spending time with my wife and son.

I really had a bad experience with Dr.Gutierrez. He was very stubborn with how he moved in regards to my concerns. He seemed very angry at the fact that I didn't follow his suggested instructions. I never told him any issues/ complaints about my heart and he tried to make it seem as though I don't take good care of myself, which is very insulting because I'm a dialysis patient who sees a lot of Doctors and have to be on my health so when people try to belittle me or talk to me like a child continuously when he could've tried his best to find other solutions for me when I expressed my uncomfortability with doing those test and seeing that specialist. Its frustrating because now I need a new primary and am still in pain for my primary concern I had. If what he said was so severe why didn't he send me to the ER? That was about 6 months ago now too and I feel fine in regards to the issue he's steady pressing.
