About Dr. Jacob Henricksen

Dr. Henricksen is originally from a small town in Southeast Alaska, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and the great outdoors. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage and then moved to Davenport Iowa. There he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, the very first Chiropractic college, where he completed his Bachelor of science and Doctorate of Chiropractic degrees. Dr. Henricksen is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Parts I, II, III, IV, and Physiotherapy. Following a clinical internship in Davenport, Iowa, he completed an additional clinical internship in Chicago, Illinois at the Spine and SportsCenter of Chicago with access to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. During his time in Chicago, he treated a wide variety of patients, from athletes on major professional sports teams to everyday working individuals. Having gained clinical experience in practices in Tennessee, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, Dr. Henricksen has been an integral part of interdisciplinary settings involving chiropractic, physical therapy and medical care. These experiences have helped him to understand the large spectrum of health, wellness, and musculoskeletal conditions leading him to pursue his specialty working with the spine and extremities. He has continued his education by obtaining a growing list of additional certifications, diagnostic tools, and therapy techniques, including his certification of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert. MDT). Dr. Henricksen is an outdoorsman who enjoys weightlifting, running, jiu-jitsu, and spending time with loved ones and friends. From time to time, he has been known to search out good food, coffee, and craft beers. He thoroughly believes in practicing what he preaches from a health and wellness standpoint and is excited to serve Scarborough and the surrounding communities.
