I believe a physician and patient should work together to determine the level of care a patient wants. For example, not all patients want the most aggressive treatment—like surgery. I have conversations with patients to help them decide the best treatment for them. My mom worked for a family doctor, and he influenced me. I was always interested in science and enjoy interacting with people. I chose to become a physician because it’s a career that combines all these things. I completed my medical degree at the University of Massachusetts and trained through an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. I further specialized with a fellowship in Cardiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus. I volunteer at the DeSales University Free Clinic at the Allentown Rescue Mission. I enjoy the outdoors—fishing, cycling, and staying physically fit.
