“I was told to arrive 15 minutes early especially since I was a new patient and my appointment was at 12:45 so I got there a little before 12:30, everyone was out for lunch until 12:45 and I had to wait until 1pm to get seen and had to pay extra for parking. Other than that, I got in and out in 15 minutes so not too bad”

About Dr. Jamie Lipeles
Dr. Lipeles has worked alongside and trained with some of the most world-renowned obstetricians. He completed his medical education at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He then completed residencies in Obstetrics and Gynecology at both Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Riverside County Regional Medical Center, each 600-bed county facility, where he gained extensive experience managing a wide range of obstetrical patients.
In addition to being their obstetrician, Dr. Lipeles treats all of his pregnant patients as though they are part of his family. From the first visit to delivery and well beyond, he offers the most personable and complete prenatal, antenatal, delivery, and postpartum care. Rest assured that with a certified ultrasound technician on staff and a high-end 4D ultrasound, we will keep an eye on you and your baby every step of the way. Our babies are delivered by OUR doctor!

I seriously wouldn’t go here. Never met Dr. Lipeles but the staff under him at the south gate location only care about selling Bayer Health Pharmaceuticals instead of actually properly diagnosing patients. My experience here has been beyond awful. Please see a doctor that genuinely cares about patients and not just a commission check.

Been coming here for 3 years, the staff is lovely, very helpful and informative and overall just a great vibe (which is so important!). there is usually a little wait before being seen but honestly with the quality of service I really don't mind waiting. I've been to a few different OB-GYNs and this is my favourite one.

I dont know what is going on...but this was awful. Office took me in, ordered me to take my clothe off and I was being told that the doctor will b right there. I was waiting an hour...without even beeing told what is going on or anything. When I opened the door to ask I was told that the doctor is in a procedure....! Why would u let ur patient wait an hour naked, without even order ur staff to inform ur patient what is going on???? Highly unprofessionell and rude! I put my cloth on and told them to take me off their patient list. Also, I dont know if I can trust zoc doc anymore....this is the second incident like that. Unbelivable! On top of everything I had to pay for parking...what a wasit of time and energy....

I was a bit frustrated by a long wait time at what seemed to be a not particularly busy or crowded office. But once Dr. Lipeles (finally) came in I was quickly disarmed by his friendly and easygoing manner. He didn’t rush the visit and took time to answer my questions.

Dr Lipeles is an excellent OBGYN. He really listens! After being to a terrible OBGYN I found his bed side manner refreshing and reassuring. He is encouraging and positive yet still educates you on the risks. He is open and aware of ways to naturally treat things like BV and candida while pregnant. The office is lovely and the ultra sound room is like a minin cinema with a huge screen so you can really see your little one! Highly recommend him as an OBGYN.

Front desk was very knowledgeable about presumptive eligibility paperwork for Medi-Cal while we figure out our insurance situation (just moved to California). Also, in scheduling bloodwork they made sure that I could have all blood drawn in one visit instead of having to come for draws multiple times. Our time in the waiting room was very short and Dr. Lipeles was quick to see us as soon as we were pulled into the back office. He was efficient and friendly.

I just wanted to explain rating for the wait time in the office because honestly I hate leaving anything below 5 stars for Dr. Lipeles. There was a bit of a wait but that is expected with an OBGYN office because those types of patients typically have medical needs that come up unexpectedly. I know when I had my baby, I always took comfort in the fact that I knew Dr. Lipeles would be there for me when I needed him and I hope people understand that means there are the occasional days of longer wait times for appointments. The quality of care, professional knowledge and bedside manner cannot be beat. I cannot recommend Dr. Lipeles enough.

I love Dr. Lipeles. While he is super busy with all of his patients he always provides enough time for my questions, concerns etc. He is a wonderful Dr. Most importantly he listens to your wants and needs regarding a birth plan. My 75 minute wait was ridiculous and I was going to leave just as the doctor walked in. He didn't say anything at the time but later said he was delayed by a surgery he was helping out on and it put him behind. I think the nurse told him I inquired at the 55 minute mark that I wanted to reschedule so he sorta but not exactly apologized. These things happen but his staff should have helped mitigate the problem earlier because it's wrong to make a patient wait that long. As a first time patient -- it definitely sent the wrong message. The staff was another concern. They played loud music and shouted out to each other as they resided in various rooms I guess, and could be heard CLEARLY in the exam room. Music could lighten the mood but this was not that kind of experience. I think they turned it down later when I stuck my head out as one of the gals was searching for tunes. But the worst was overhearing a pregnant woman call in who was bleeding and the person who answered first said she should go to the hospital and then consulted with another nurse and then said she should come into the office and the doc will determine. A bit concerning she was advising without consulting but hopefully that was the right advice for the woman's sake. Then, the staff laughed and mocked her for calling in about bleeding. Yes, bleeding. They laughed and said, "what did she expect to come out -- candy? She's having a baby!" I don't think this is remotely professional and goodness, bleeding could mean something incredibly serious -- she did the right thing to ask. But rather got mocked behind her back by her doctor (technically not the doc but from the larger picture, yes). Will that happen to me?? What if I call in with a medical question or emergency??? Will I be mocked? Will I be scared to call because the staff treats you like you are an idiot for calling? The doc was great but I'm on the fence because I worry about the other people who make up this practice. I'm also not accustomed to having a nurse stare during the pap smear. I know they have to be present with a male doc but in my experience, they are in the room but respect your privacy. This was the opposite. So, you be the judge if this works for you. Doc seriously seemed great and that is most important, of course. But I am looking for a great doc ... in a professional practice ... and I got 50% of what I am looking for. Debating on returning. And I know this will somehow not turn out anonymous so I can only imagine my treatment if I return ... Why is it so hard to get both a great doc and great staff??? I wish the staff didn't matter but you interface with them no matter what -- and sometimes in less than a private way so you really want to feel they are professional, no??
