Getting to know Jamie Pacilio

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts? Is your goal to quiet the impulsive, negative self-talk and better manage daily anxiety? I am here to help. I am fully transparent with my patients about my own mental health struggles because I believe that sharing our experiences helps patients relate to me and understand that I truly empathize with what they are going through. My mission is to help you access the resources needed to manage life's stressors. To my future patients, I promise to always listen without judgment. Together, we will get through this as a team. I specialize in the evaluation and management of psychiatric medications to create comprehensive, personalized treatment plans. Beyond psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and medication management, I can connect you with adjunct treatments such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO esketamine), and talk therapy. I earned my Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from West Liberty University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, effective mental health care tailored to your needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Patients’ initial medication management evaluation is a crucial step towards understanding and addressing their mental health needs and typically involves a thorough assessment of their medical and psychiatric history. I will provide information about potential treatment options, including psychiatric medications, and explain the benefits, potential side effects, and risks associated with each. This discussion aims to engage the patient in the decision-making process, ensuring they actively participate in their treatment plan. While our expertise is broad, there are certain mental health conditions and diagnoses that fall outside our scope of practice. Your initial medication management evaluation will be considered an ‘intake appointment’ and will not guarantee a continued patient-provider relationship. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, Relief Mental Health is a leading outpatient provider of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelics (SPRAVATO® esketamine and IV ketamine), psychiatric medication management, and talk therapy, for the treatment of depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety and other diagnoses. Founded in January 2020 and dedicated to delivering expedited care, Relief has 10 facilities in three states. In Illinois, clinics are located in Chicago (Lakeview and West Loop), Oak Brook, Orland Park, Northbrook, Rockford, and St. Charles. Relief’s other clinics are in Warren and Red Bank, New Jersey, and West Allis, Wisconsin. With a commitment to evidence-based care and putting patients’ needs first, Relief Mental Health continually explores innovative treatments to provide the best possible outcomes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Patients will be emailed an intake form and new patient paperwork upon booking, which must be completed and submitted at least 24 hours prior to their appointment. If patients do not complete this paperwork by the 24-hour deadline, we will collect a $100 deposit at the time of service and verify benefits after the appointment takes place. This deposit will be applied towards any out-of-pocket costs for services, including copays, coinsurances, deductibles, or the full cash rate if we are out-of-network or unable to verify the patient’s benefits. Once benefits are verified, any outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card on file and any overpayment can be refunded or applied to future visits. Please note that most providers at Relief Mental Health are in-network with a variety of commercial PPO policies and Medicare. Individual provider profiles list in-network insurance providers but patients are still encouraged to contact their insurance company for specific coverage details. Relief Mental Health providers are out-of-network with commercial HMO policies, Medicaid and other government-funded health insurance providers.

Very professional environment with friendly staff. Jamie Pacilio was extremely welcoming, understanding, and knew exactly what she was talking about. She asked tons of questions to find the best solution to fit my needs, told me why she chose the solutions, and gave me easy methods of communication for the future.
this was my first time getting any sort of mental health treatment and didnt know what to expect really. Dr pacilio was very friendly and kind, had a very nice and well kept office, and wasn't judgmental to anything i said. the only thing that made me a little uncomfortable was that she cursed a few times, but we are both very young so she probably thought i wouldnt care which to be honest i didnt but if you are an older person, like 50+ and grumpy, you'd probably be annoyed by that. she started me off on a low dose of a medicine and booked me a follow up appointment herself and i already feel better. i would recommend dr pacilio to people between early teens to mid 30's because she's like 28 and has a better grip on what reality is like for people our age. i will definitely be seeing her for the long term.
