About Dr. Jamil Hossain

Dr. Jamil Hossain is a podiatrist (Foot and Ankle Specialist). He has been proudly serving the Nashville area for the last five years. Dr. Hossain was born in Bangladesh. He grew up in West Palm Beach Florida, in Boynton Beach. After receiving his undergraduate degree in biology from University of Florida, he then moved to Philadelphia for his Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. After his doctorate degree, he attended Hahnemann University Hospital, a program of Drexel University located in Philadelphia for his surgical Residency. While at Hahnemann, he received extensive training in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery along with training in Rearfoot and Ankle reconstruction. He served as the chief resident during his last year at Hahnemann. During his third year of Podiatry School, Dr. Hossain attended National Institution of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nitor is a leading teaching hospital for orthopedic medicine and surgery in Bangladesh. There, he observed and helped with direct patient care and surgery with both residents and surgeons. Dr. Hossain is a licensed podiatrist in Tennessee. His love and passion for his profession and patients drives him to provide the best, comprehensive and most up-to-date therapy. His professional interests are wound care, minimally invasive heel surgery and ankle arthroscopy. He is experienced in all facets of podiatry with strong emphasis in wound care, diabetic limb salvage and foot and ankle reconstructions. Dr. Hossain lives in Nashville with his wife and two children. He loves to fish, golf and garden. Family is extremely important to him.
