She then received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she was awarded numerous awards for patient care and nationally recognized for her research. Dr. Mitchell is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Southwest Gynecologic Assembly, Texas Medical Association, and Denton County Medical Society. In her spare time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys traveling, gardening, baking, and spending time with her two rescue dogs, Mason and Maya. She is board certified in Ob/Gyn.
