About Dr. Jasmine Nguyen
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love building relationships with my patients. Seeing them every year and talking about their most recent endeavors has made this job so meaningful. I also enjoy that instant gratification when I can help a patient see clearer or more comfortably. The reactions are priceless.
Tell me more about yourself.
I'm from Illinois, and a Midwesterner at heart. I earned my bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University's Honors College and went on to receive my Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. I have been in the Bay Area for more than 7 years and have served downtown San Francisco for over 5 years now. I'm part of the San Francisco Optometric Association, Optometric Extension Program Extension, and College of Vision Development.
What are your outside interests and hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my husband and Emma, my vivacious toddler daughter. Life and interests have changed after becoming a mom, but I enjoy reading and listening to audiobooks, taking family walks, traveling (pre-COVID), trying new food, and just enjoying the company of my friends and family.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
Santorini-everything about the area is magical, whether it's the food or the scenery.
