About Dr. Jason L. VanBennekom
Dr. VanBennekom graduated Magna Cum Laude from Honors College at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) with a degree in Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School (Ann Arbor, MI) and completed his residency in OB/GYN from the National Naval Medical Center (Bethesda, MD). While in the U.S. Navy, he served as Department Head for the Department of OB/GYN at the Naval Hospital (Yokosuka, Japan) and as Department Head of OB/GYN at the Naval Hospital (Jacksonville, FL). He joined North Florida OB/GYN in 2005.
He has special interests in obstetrics, infertility, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, management of menopause, and contraception technology.
Dr. VanBennekom and his wife, Tara, have two children. Tara is a board-certified Pediatrician.

Dr Vanbennekom was very nice, and actually listened to what I had to say. The nurse knew it was my first time ever going to the gynecologist, so she walked me through everything that was going to happen step by step.
