I came early for my eye exam, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
They explained the different exams available to me, and the fees involved.
After the initial screening, Dr. Louis gave me eye exam for contacts and glasses. He addressed my questions regarding laser eye surgery, and the process took less than 15 minutes.
Highly recommended!

The doctor was available right away was able to provide and recommended prescription and explained it well.
Staff/ Office:
The process was explained clearly and I felt that the staff was very informed and supportive. I had an evening appointment and didn’t feel “rushed” or “in the way” during my exam.
My insurance was easy to recover and apply, and the billing process was explained clearly.
The office has a great selection of frame styles and brands, including a selection to choose from that are covered by your insurance.

I had a very frustrating experience. I paid out-of-pocket for my contact lens prescription, which I was fine with. I was told the prescription would be emailed to me, but it never arrived. When I called the next day, I was told that I needed to request it myself — which was not explained at the time of payment.
When I finally received the prescription, it was written for only one specific brand of contact lenses, even though I use two. This has now created additional steps and delays for me to get the lenses I actually wear. I had to call again and push to get the information that should have been provided initially.
Overall, the communication was unclear, and I felt I had to work too hard just to receive what I was charged for.

Friendly staff from the time I arrived. Patient staff when attempting to select my first pair of glasses. Dr. Louis , first visit, very nice , clear communication, encouraged to ask questions. The visit was quick but didn’t feel rushed. Appreciated, since I took a mini break from work. Small hiccup with eye photo machine but will be addressed when picking up my glasses. No complaints, thanks team!

This was my first eye doctor visit in a couple years, and my vision has decreased significantly (both near sighted and far sighted), meaning I cannot wear the same prescription and need to compromise my long vision a bit to be able to read. Dr. Jean Louis took his time and explained everything clearly. He allowed me to try on multiple options of lenses to help me find the best fit. Highly recommend.

Very few questions asked about vision problems in my family, or about my past with eyesight problems; I’ve been seeing eye doctors for over two decades and this has to be one of the most underwhelming experiences I’ve ever had.

Quick + convenient service right next to Union Square! It was easy to book an appointment for a routine eye examination. The staff was friendly, highly professional, and clearly explained the procedures involved. Afterwards, I was able to try on and get detailed pricing estimates for a few new frames similar to my current eyeglasses. Overall, an excellent in-network practice with a wide selection of styles.

Quick exam. Nice people. Something’s I disliked about my visit are: how the tools and machines used to do the exam was not cleaned at all before they asked me to sit and put my face on the machine. A lot of finger smuggles and debris was on the machine. Grossed me out. Also, the doctor recommended I use Systane eye drops, which were expired and have recently been recalled.
I would not go back.

This was my first time at this location as a Davis Vision insurance holder. The office is bright and the reception of the staff was welcoming. My visit was quick but thorough and they had quite a few of selection of Davis Vision glasses available. The Optometrist was nice and kind and knew his job. Great visit! Dr. Louis was very patient as he got me set up with contacts for the first time ever. (Bifocal contacts, which took a few different iterations of testing out).
