I saw Dr. Schildhorn from first diagnosis of my broken ankle to his clearing me for PT. He was always very personable and on the first appointment at his W. Village office he walked me to radiology on the next floorto try and speed up my X-rays. His Park Avenue office has the radiology room in it so it is much more efficient. Beware though that there’s a small flight of stairs to negotiate and no elevator to the office from street. I liked that he offered me options when it didn’t look like my ankle was healing as it should. He recommended casting it over surgery or keeping the boot on. Now that I’m in PT. Will see how it goes.

Although what I went there for was not his specialty, which he was very upfront about, Dr. Schildhorn did what he could to help me and referred me to a specialist. I left there feeling better than I did when Iwalked in so it was well worth the visit.

He was very professional. Listened to every concern I had. But the only problem i had was the office. I was on crutches and had to improvise how to climb the stairs. And the office was pretty far from the entrance. But if you dont have any problem with walking 10/10 would recommend.

The office is clean and beautiful. His staff are polite and attentive. I was sent for X-rays and got my results right away. This doctor is informative, and gave me time to explain my problem. He told me what I neededto do and gave me a cortisone shot. He’s sending me for MRI and we’ll see what happens. I recommend him to everyone.

I've been meeting on and off with Dr. Schildhorn for almost four years. He's always very friendly, and breaks down complicated joint issues in a very simple manner. Dr. Schildhorn is also very honest with patients. Other doctors may have recommendedsurgery for my knee issues, but he found an alternative and I still feel good months after my appointment.

Waited for over an hour. Staff (including doctor) clearly not bothered by this. Our time is too valuable to wait over an hour to be seen in any professional setting, especially when our health is at stake and we have toreturn to our jobs. Go to someone who will prioritize you and be on time for you when you are on time for them.

Dr. S was very welcoming to me after I had several below par experiences with other doctors about my broken collarbone. I decided to go with surgery. It’s only been a week and I feel good as new. The wound ishealing quickly and I look way more symmetric than I did last week. Overall 10/10 experience!

I waited an exceptionally long time to see Dr. Schildhorn. Three patients went in before me even though I was on time for my appointment, meaning he had been overbooked. He apologized for his tardiness, but I was over an hourlate to work due to this. I was sent for an MRI but he never called to report the results or let me know they were back. Good thing whatever was wrong me with healed on its own.

I had an excellent first visit with Dr. Schildhorn. Not only was he very friendly, but he took the time to understand my injury, situation, and explain exactly what he thought the problem was and how we can work to fixit. I left with the reassurance I needed about what my problem was and the confidence I needed that I'll be feeling better in no time thanks to him.

Dr.Schildhorn is an excellent caring Dr.,extremely knowledgable about his chosen field of orthopedic;he provides as much time as you need with him, and he does that in a very calm easy going manner which puts you at ease, and at thesame time he provides a thorough exam, answers any all questions, and at his disposal is an xray machine wherein he quickly reads and analyzes the results ,and in my situation with his connections to an excellent radiology center in Manhattan I was able to get same day MRI'S.I highly recommend Dr.Schildhorn to anyone in need of a terrific orthopedist who has offices in both Manhattan and Forest Hills, and he is associated with a well known hospital in NYC known for its sports medicine.Dr.Schildhorn is also supported by an excellent caring staff.
