About Dr. Jency Elakkatt

Dr. Jency Elakkatt, OD, is a primary care optometrist who has been serving in the eye care field since 1993. She earned her Bachelor of Science with high honors from Elmhurst University, where she was the recipient of the Biology Harvey D. Bruin Award. She later obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Elakkatt provides comprehensive eye exams for glasses, contact lenses, glaucoma, diabetes, and other systemic conditions. Patients at our office may see her for post-op visits, myopia management, red or dry eyes, allergies, and much more. She sees children ages 4 and up for eye exams. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Elakkatt enjoys spending time with her family and traveling-including participating in global surgical eye care missions. Languages spoken include Hindi and Malayalam.
