About Dr. Jennifer Bernstein
Our physicians are each a “Board-Certified Physician of the Foot and Ankle”.
Dr. Jennifer Bernstein grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago, where she was a competitive figure skater with the International Skating Corporation and a member of the DuPage Figure Skating Club. Over time, she suffered injuries that led her to pursue other goals. Dr. Bernstein attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in kinesiology, determining that podiatry could be a great way to connect to the figure skating world through the treatment of injured athletes.
After graduating from UIC in 2009, Dr. Bernstein has attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago and graduated in 2013. She then spent three years completing her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the University of Louisville and Jewish hospitals. Here she also received exceptional training in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
Happy to be back in the Chicago area, Dr. Bernstein enjoys treating all aspects of foot and ankle pathology in patients of all ages. In her free time, she is fond of watching the Food Network, cooking, and trying new restaurants.

I enjoy the super convenience of Saturday appointments. Everyone was so helpful and friendly as if I had been a patient all along. If you're looking for a podiatrist doctor that listens to you and also explains in language easy to understand, Dr Bernstein is the one!

I showed up for my CONFIRMED appointment and for some reason it did not exist in their system. There were no other patients in the office, but they said they couldn't fit me in. Fortunately, they were able to schedule me for the next day, which I appreciate. However, is there some flaw in the Zocdoc system or their computers?

My appointment was at 9:30 and was told to be there by 9am. I completed forms online prior to my appt but there were more forms to review and sign. In making the appt. I indicated I think I had bunions. At 8am on the day of my appt, I received a call from the office that Dr. Bernstein did not do bunion surgery and I may want to cancel the appt and see another doctor in the group who does bunion surgery. Why did the office wait until the morning of my appt to share this with me? I did keep the appt. I don't need surgery. I had other questions about my feet health. Why didn't the person who made my appt say something? That's my complaint but Dr. Bernstein addressed all my questions and explained why she said what she said.

I was disappointed in ZocDoc; They had the wrong date for my appointment, which was a week after the date I wanted so the office wasn't ready for me. But they still took care of me quickly and efficiently and I saw the doctor I wanted, who is very good.

This was my first experience with Dr. Jennifer Bernstein. Everyone from the front desk, nurses and doctor were amazing! They listened to my concerns, explained everything clearly and were just overall great. My appointment was a couple of hours ago and I've already recommended them to 2 friends. I spent the last week in extreme pain and on crutches; now I'm almost completely walking with no crutches and have very minimal pain. I can't thank them enough. ??

Good experience with Dr Bernstein. She was clear about the procedure and did it quickly without much wait time at all. It wasn’t exactly pleasant, but I mean it was necessary and they did a good job of making it ask painless as it could be. Would definitely go back if I ever have a similar issue in the future.
