I have 11 years of experience working with adults and teens facing a variety of concerns, including trauma, grief and loss, postpartum and perinatal mood disorders, fertility and conception issues, parenting challenges, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, personality difficulties, and histories of abuse. What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is warm, accepting, and active. I don't expect you to start therapy knowing exactly what you need - I'm here to help you figure it out! My approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy, but I integrate elements of dialectical-behavioral therapy, relational therapy, and psychodynamic therapy depending on your needs and preferences. I see our work together as a collaboration and I care deeply about your unique goals and strengths. I want to help you carry whatever it is that's weighing on you, and work toward solutions together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I usually see patients for a longer intake appointment (60 mins) to gather historical information, learn more about you, and set goals together. Then typically we would meet weekly (this can be flexible!) for 45-50 minutes for therapy. Each session includes time to discuss any new issues that have come up, a review of last session and any homework we have planned, and time devoted to exploration of your past/how that impacts your present/how we can learn new coping skills to change the future. Sessions are co-created by both of us - I am very open to your preferences!
