About Dr. Jessica Rubino
I approach patient care with the priority of ensuring each person feels seen and heard. I love and respect the differences all of us have. While I enjoy a variety of aspects of family medicine, I particularly enjoy working with LGBTQIA patients to ensure all of their healthcare needs are met. My biggest areas of expertise are in family planning, contraception, STI care, and HIV prevention.
I completed my Doctor of Medicine at SIU School of Medicine and completed my residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center. I see adolescent and adult patients only at this location. I do not see pediatric patients.

I set an appointment with Dr. Rubino because I wasn't being 'heard' by my neurologist, who was treating my migraines. I was always deferred to his nurse, who would only talk to me through the portal. It was more than frustrating. Dr. Rubino was ON TIME, an EXCEPTIONAL LISTENER, VALIDATED my concerns, and was very STRATEGIC about her approach to my migraines. She wanted my immediate feedback on the care she is providing me, and gave me an office number to text her. She responds within minutes. I am so impressed, and her advice is spot on. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rubino to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Rubino was one of the kindest and most helpful doctors that I have ever seen. I am traveling for a few months and she researched all of the different meds and shots that I would be needing. She gave helpful advice and was very down to earth. I was seen immediately and waited for only a few minutes in my room.

I have been to 5 different specialists and doctors in the last month and a half... Dr. Rubino was the first one who sat there and listened to what I was saying and actually made a plan instead of just writing me off.
I finally have hope that we are going to find out what is wrong with me!

Doc is very nice and really listenes to you . She addressed all my concerns and ill definitely go back to her.
One thing that was a bit frustrating was the wait time. I waited 45 - 50 min till the doctor saw me, when all my paperwork was already filled out.

I've never had a PCP in Austin, but this visit definitely changes my mind about that. I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Rubino, and she seemed genuinely interested in my concerns. She offered me several options, along with pros and cons of each. Warm, knowledgeable, and efficient. Would give six stars, if possible.
