Getting to know Dr. Jillian Baldwin

Hi there! My name is Dr. Jillian Baldwin (but please feel free to call me Jillian), and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D.) working with clients statewide in Florida via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults, utilizing relationship-based interventions paired with individualized behavior plans and skill-building to support clients in reaching their goals. My communication style is accommodating, personable, and at times playful! I strive to work collaboratively and creatively with my clients, emphasizing and building upon their strengths and supporting them in moving in the direction of their values. What drives me most as a psychologist is a genuine interest and love for people. Every individual has their own story, history, strengths, difficulties, and unique way of viewing the world. I, like everyone, have experienced the sense of relief and the genuine connection that comes from truly feeling heard and understood by someone, especially when it appears that most people do not. As a psychologist, I strive to create this experience by providing a safe and understanding therapeutic environment where my clients can feel comfortable being themselves.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first session, clients can expect to spend the majority of time exploring what brought them to treatment. I will ask several questions to better understand what may be contributing to a client’s current difficulties. Each individual is different, and I like to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for a client moving forward. I then work collaboratively with clients to determine what they would like to accomplish in treatment. This often starts by building trust and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Over time, I work with clients to set goals and track progress.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Dr. Baldwin is very empathetic and tries to understand where you’re coming from. She’s helped me see some things in a different light and it has actually helped my anxious thinking. She’s very friendly and professional at the same time which makes me feel comfortable during our sessions. I’m really glad I met her on Grow Therapy.
