About Dr. Joel Rivera
Dr. Joel Rivera is an experienced OB-GYN specialist serving the community of Katy, TX. Dr. Rivera pursued his medical education at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in Mexico. He went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ponce Health Sciences University, Saint Luke's Episcopal Hospital. He decided to become an obstetrician and gynecologist after his internal medicine rotation during his transitional residency. He wished to select a profession which would not only allow him to be a part of every family’s greatest moments but also be remembered as the physician who contributed to making it possible.
Dr. Rivera is affiliated with Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. He practices at Pink Womens Center and welcomes patients who speak English and Spanish. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the North American Menopause Society, the International Gynecologic Cancer Society, and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. His expertise lies in the management and treatment of osteoporosis, sexual dysfunction, stress incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other specialized medical illnesses. He is also experienced in helping women in their perimenopausal and menopausal years to stay healthy and fit.

He exhibits his passion for obstetrics and gynecology in the precision and care he takes of his patients. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants, and spending quality time with his wife and children.
