John Deshaies, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He specializes in general optometry and enjoys helping others. Growing up with a brother who is legally blind made Dr. Deshaies especially sensitive to the needs of those with visual impairments. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Deshaies enjoys spending time with family, watching the New England Patriots, playing fantasy football, and caring for and harvesting his apple trees.

Staff was very helpful with tablet (which I have never used) and Dr Deshaies always answers all of my questions and explains things so that I understand him.
There very professional and friendly
The entire staff from receptionist to doctor are always courteous, professional and great at answering any and all questions. When I leave message to order contacts, Marsha always returns call in timely manner. This is why I continue to drive from Lynn to your office.
The doctor and the staff are wonderful to work with. Pleasant, kind and always willing to help. My only concern from this last appointment was the cost of the glasses. Usually they have always been around $100 but this time slightly over $200. I supose like everything else after covid costs have increased but rest assured that the Dr & staff are wonderful to work with and perhaps I just looked and chose glasses without inquiring further. The doctor made everything really easy to understand, made me feel at ease with the testing procedures, and was patient and happy to answer my questions. The front desk was friendly and prompt. One thing to improve might be to get two different sizes of the throwaway glasses, as mine kept falling off, or mentioning that I should bring sunglasses as part of my appointment reminder.
Kind, concerned, patient and purposeful…Lindsey set the tone with her great personality and helpfulness…thus far everything has been wonderful!!!

Very thorough and explains well
This was my first visit. I had a great experience. Parking was the only negative issue I had but that's beyond the control of the office.
Originally, there were some mishaps with my appointment but the staff was very helpful and everything went smoothly. Dr. Deshaies was very thorough in exams and explanations - and he made sure how I can take care of my eye issues. I have been looking for a good eye doctor for myself for years, and I think I finally found one.
The staff and doctor were very knowledgeable about my condition and insurance needs. Made for a quick and stress free appointment.
