He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, graduating in 1971 from the Dr. Wm M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a two-year surgical residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago. Following his residency, he joined the faculty at Scholl College, where he taught surgery for 18 years and attained the academic rank of Clinical Professor in Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Wray has been board certified in Podiatric Surgery for 30 years by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgery. He began his private practice in 1977 as an associate of Peter N. Varzos, DPM, and took over the practice in 1983 upon Dr. Varzos' retirement. The name Drs. Varzos, Wray, and Associates continued until January 2000, when the practice incorporated as Podiatry Center, SC. Dr. Wray is a member and past president of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and serves as a member and Delegate to the House of Delegates of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
