About Dr. John Peterson
Dr. John Peterson grew up in Provo, Utah, which cultivated his love for the outdoors. After spending a few years in Berlin, Germany, learning about their culture, he returned to Utah to attend Southern Utah University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri. Dr. Peterson attended the University of St. Louis College of Optometry, where he excelled in the treatment and management of ocular disease, fitting of contact lenses, and custom eyewear for patients with various visual demands. Dr. Peterson and his wife Lara moved to Tucson in 2011 to enjoy the weather and lifestyle it had to offer. After careful consideration, Dr. Peterson decided to move to Fountain Hills in 2015 to experience the benefits of belonging to a close-knit community.

This was the easiest and smoothest appointment. It was a routine exam and it went efficiently. This office really rolls out the red carpet, they changed my nose pads and gave me a new case for my old pair and held the door open even as I was leaving. Will be returning next year, highly highly recommend.

Wonderful experience. Professional staff from registration and Anna who took pictures of my eyes and did prep work. Dr Peterson was very personable and knowledgeable. This was my first visit and I will be back.

This was my first visit to this practice. Pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of staff and their helpful attitude. I like being offered a variety of testing options, all of which make additional $$ for the practice, yet were in no way pushy, condescending, nor made me feel guilty when I declined. The doctor was efficient and listened well to my issues. I certainly will continue to use this practice and have already recommended it to a colleague.
