About Dr. Jonathan Ringenberg
Jonathan D. Ringenberg, M.D. grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University where he was a member of the 2008-2011 Baylor Bears baseball team. Dr. Ringenberg then returned back home for medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine where he was inducted in to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma where he received several awards for his medical research. Dr. Ringenberg then pursued further specialty training, completing a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he assisted in team coverage for the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas Jayhawks.
Dr. Ringenberg specializes in knee, shoulder, and sports medicine surgery. He treats a variety of sports-related injuries including ACL tears, meniscus tears, patellar dislocations, cartilage injuries, tendon injuries, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, and labral tears. Dr. Ringenberg also provides non-operative treatment options for the knee and shoulder including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.
Dr. Ringenberg participates in medical research. He has published several articles in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine and won several research awards during his residency and fellowship.
Dr. Ringenberg lives with his wife, Sigrid, who is a thoracic surgeon at Baylor Scott & White. In his free time, Dr. Ringenberg enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, hiking or walking around the lake, fishing, golfing, watching Netflix, and staying active in their local church.

My first visit to this doctor after fall and I was pleased they got me in asap and liked his conservative approach to my injury. Will continue to see him in future. Office staff very nice.

That was a perfect appointment. The parking lot and building were very clean, well lighted, and organized. The office staff greeted me, quickly verified my identity, and provided the device for me to complete my medical history via perfectly designed questions. Once I finished this in 10 minutes, I was escorted back to a room where I was interviewed as to my medical need. Then I received x-rays by a thorough and caring technician. Once back in my room, Dr. Ringenberg listened to my concerns, asked appropriate and targeted questions, did an evaluation, explained my x-rays, and provided a medical game plan. After this, I was scheduled for a follow up appointment and then escorted to the exit. I truly appreciated that friendly and kind escort. My whole appointment took about 30 minutes. When I left to get my prescription, I knew I had found the right medical practice, and the right doctor and medical team. Hey, and who knew a Baylor Bear and Texas Tech Red Raider could get along so well!
