About Dr. Joseph Betz

Dr. Joseph W. Betz is a board-certified chiropractor, clinical researcher, and educator with over 20 years of experience helping patients restore spinal health and improve overall function. He is the founder and director of Modern Chiropractic Center in Boise and Nampa, Idaho, where he specializes in evidence-based structural correction, postural rehabilitation, and scoliosis care using Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®) protocols. Dr. Betz earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2001. He began his career in medical research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, which helped shape his scientific approach to clinical chiropractic care. He has practiced in Boise since 2002 and currently operates two clinic locations. Dr. Betz is internationally recognized for his leadership in chiropractic organizations. He currently serves as President of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), following years of service as Vice President, Secretary, and Board Member. He has also served as President of the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians and sits on the Idaho Chiropractic Physicians Licensing Board. As a researcher and educator, Dr. Betz has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles, presented at international conferences such as Spine Week, SOSORT, and the World Federation of Chiropractic, and contributed to textbooks on spinal rehabilitation. He also teaches CBP® seminars and continuing education courses on whiplash, scoliosis, and spinal biomechanics. Dr. Betz combines clinical precision with genuine compassion and strives to empower his patients through education and individualized care.
