About Dr. Joseph Garcia
Growing up in a family with five physicians gave me early exposure to the impact of thoughtful, patient-centered care. That environment shaped my understanding of medicine not just as a science, but as a responsibility to serve patients with integrity, compassion and clinical excellence.
My approach to healthcare is rooted in evidence-based medicine, combined with a strong emphasis on relationship-building and individualized care. Patients achieve the best outcomes when they feel heard, understood and actively involved in their care plan. My goal is to spend meaningful time with each patient to understand their unique needs, goals and concerns, so I can deliver care that is both clinically sound and personally relevant. At Novant Health, we believe in building trusted partnerships where patients feel supported, informed and empowered in their health journey.
With an additional focus in sports medicine, I have been working with both amateur and professional sports teams since 1993, providing high-level care in performance, injury prevention and recovery. This experience has strengthened my ability to manage complex conditions, work within multidisciplinary teams and deliver care in high-pressure environments.
