About Dr. Joseph Greco III
At Greco Dermatology, we offer Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Regenerative Dermatology, Hair Restoration and specialized Skin Cancer and Lesion Clinics dedicated to the surveillance, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, lesions and non healing growths.
Dr. Joseph F. Greco is a nationally recognized leader in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He is the Medical Director for Greco Dermatology and Greco Medical Group in Sarasota, Florida.
Dr. Greco is a double board certified, fellowship trained dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. He completed his fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology and laser surgery at The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Greco spent 15 years at UCLA where he was the Director of UCLA Santa Monica Dermatology as well as Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine.
Dr. Greco has been recognized as one of Southern California’s rising stars, a TopDoctor in Los Angeles as well as a SuperDoctor in Southern California from 2016-2022. He has an extensive list of book chapters and journal articles and has appeared as a faculty presenter at national conferences and workshops on surgical anatomy, advanced surgical reconstructive techniques, cutaneous oncology, hair transplantation and novel laser and light source technologies.
The Greco Family is the only three-generation family in the world performing hair restoration surgery which began in 1960 with Joseph F. Greco, MD, Sr, a pioneer in the field. Dr. Greco is fulfilling a lifelong dream to work alongside his father and provide patients the finest care in dermatology, dermatologic surgery, hair restoration and regenerative dermatology.

Would give 20 stars if I could. Resolved a pyogenic granuloma same day with my younger son. Knew exactly how to handle it and my 9 year old felt incredibly comfortable which is saying a lot considering they were cutting something off of him. Wonderful job and highly recommend!

Hands down best experience I've had with a Doctor.
I was a bit nervous going in.
Medical offices make me very nervous. Dr. Grecco and the staff were extremely polite, professional and accommodating kept me informed and comfortable.
This was my first appointment with him and as long as I live in Florida he will be my only dermatologist.
Could not recommend Grecco Dermatology enough.

I love Dr. Greco and his entire Staff! The Best Dermatologist in Sarasota! Upbeat and positive. Dr. Greco came to my room within minutes. Took biopsy with NO pain. Will be following up on the Mohs surgery once the biopsy comes back. He also thoroughly explained the procedure. The best experience I have ever had at a Dr's Office! Thank you to the entire Staff!

I have known Dr. Greco for many years. First as a colleague in medicine, then a patient and ultimately a friend. Not only is he a highly skilled physician but he has an amazing bedside manner that makes you feel welcome, relaxed and in competent hands. I have personally referred multiple family members and friends to him as well. There is a reason that he has won multiple awards over the years for his care. He is truly one of the most talented physicians I know. You will be in fantastic hands if you choose to go to Dr. Greco!

The visit was extremely professional. When I spoke with Dr. Greco he made me feel very comfortable and his bedside manners are tremendous. Because I was going in for facial concerns it was important to me to feel trusted in the hands of a professional. Dr. Greco shared with me his surgical experience at UCLA and I was impressed. I definitely made the right choice.
