About Dr. Joseph McNamara
Dr. McNamara graduated from chiropractic school in 1994 from Life University and received his Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology in 2003 from the Carrick Institute. In 2009, he received his Fellowship from the American College of Functional Neurology.
He has been a resident of Forsyth County for 28 years and was a volunteer member of the Forsyth County Fire Department until he retired in 2021. In addition to helping his patients return to optimal health, his passion continues to be treating high school, collegiate and professional athletes to achieve maximum performance and accelerate recovery.
His daughter played collegiate volleyball for Auburn University and Rutgers University and for European professional teams. His oldest son is a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and his youngest son is attending UNG and loves playing all sports, especially tennis.

Dr McNamara is very thorough and caring. My daughter was suffering with persistent daily migraines and he helped her break the migraine cycle. With a series of visits and at home exercises she was able to completely rid herself of daily migraines and rarely ha one now. We are so thankful for his help.

I was suffering from osteoarthritis and a torn miniscus in my right knee. The pain had been excruciating for 8 weeks. After my first visit, the pain was better and so was my mobility. After 4 visits using shockwave, laser IV and decompression therapy, I am almost completely pain free! No more crutch either! Dr. Joe is kind, understanding and compassionate. You won’t regret giving him a try! Highly recommend !!!!

I have known Dr. McNamara for decades, and he has treated me for a variety of aches and pains over the years.
Most recently, he has been treating me for neuropathy. I have had this condition in both feet for about two years and had been seeing a podiatrist. The podiatrist prescribed shoe inserts, anti-inflammatory medication, multiple shots, and another round of a different prescription. Several months passed with no progress.
Then, Dr. McNamara notified me that he would be hosting a seminar on treating neuropathy. I attended the seminar, and I am so glad that I did. In less than six weeks, I am beginning to get the feeling back in both feet! I am looking forward to continued improvement. I highly recommend Dr. McNamara.
