I think he found my problem finally! He confirmed my suspicions and was thorough.
He was warm and personable and wonderful that he speaks Spanish
While Dr. Rousso himself and his staff were relatively nice, his staff was relatively inefficient and redundant, asking to fill out the same paperwork multiple times without actually reading any of the documentation. Instead of being prompt and effective, I found myself waiting a good amount of time in a sea of inefficiency. I suppose that in the end the only thing that really matters is the doctor's diagnosis and treatment, which seemed excellent, but the overall staff detracted enough from my experience that I detracted a star.
I love visits with Dr. Rousso. Always super nice, patient, thorough, and willing to answer any questions I have.
He listened to my concern, and made me feel at ease. He is doing the necessary follow up just to make sure all bases are covered. He was young and very professional, and definitely knew what he was doing. I would highly recommend him.
Professional, informative, and didn't feel rushed. Was able to diagnose my condition.
Dr. Rousso was very nice, thorough, easy to talk to, patient, answered any questions I had, and interested in looking at my issue from all angles. I am very glad I went to see him.
He's awesome. Calm, attentive, listens, patiently and thoroughly answers questions.
Dr. Rousso did a great job of explaining everything he was doing and prescribing, and had immediate availability for an appointment when I was sick.
Saw Dr. Rousso because I could feel fluid swishing around in my sinuses and the other ENT I had seen did not make me feel confident that everything was OK. Dr. Rousso did a thorough exam and let me know that everything did in fact look good, but that i should use some nasal spray to help clear out the fluid i was feeling and that prescription medication was not necessary which I liked.
Informed me of the underlying condition that was causing a chronic problem. The first doctor to ever do so.
Very patient and knowledgeable doctor.
He was super kind and mindful of my comfort!!! Highly recc!
It appears Dr. Rousso diagnosed me both quickly and effectively. My symptoms are already clearing up!
Dr. Rousso took his time and answered all of my questions or concerns. They took me right at my scheduled appointment. It is a very clean facility and I would gladly recommend others to Dr. Rousso.

Dr. Rousso is absolutely awesome!
I was hesitant to make an appointment with this dr after a review that I read, but for my surprise my experience overall was great!! Dr Rousso is very sweet and polite. He took his time and made me feel very comfortable. You can tell he knows exactly what he is doing because no other doctor knew how to solve the problem I was having. I would definitely recommend this doctor. He is excellent. If I could give him more the five stars I would.
Dr. Rousso was wonderful and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed and be really addressed all of my concerns.
I had booked appointment for 8:00am and I got a reminder call to be early at the office. I was at doctor's office at 7:40am, guess I should be blamed there for being so early. No one was in, I thought I got the wrong address. I finally called the office at 7:55am, even though the office wasn't opened and fully dark. Someone picked up(wonder from which office and said they would be in shortly. Finally, the admin assistant showed up at 7:58am, and she totally ignored that I was waiting there. No courteous "good morning" either, so can't expect an apology. I then see doctor walking in at 8:00am. If they don't start until 8:00am, they shouldn't book the appointments starting 8:00am. After handed over the pad with bunch of forms (10 pages) I asked if I had to fill up all the forms. She rudely said "Yes, you need to". I had to write my name almost on every single page on the top and bottom of the form. I wish they had better looked at the forms they are asking me to fill out. By the time they were ready it was already 8:30. When admin staff asked me to pay copay I asked for clarification. And she replied "We are specialists". I was thinking to myself where she got that attitude from. She could have politely said that my insurance requires me to pay for specialist visit (even though I should have known about it). I was finally seen by the doctor. He asked me about purpose of my visit. I mentioned I just wanted to get regular check up and cleaning done. He checked my ears and said the ears are very clean and he did very minor cleaning with a tool. I was expecting more sophisticated cleaning. Also, the ear test was done was very manual test. He rang the bell and asked me to recognize the sound, loud or soft etc. I thought to myself, this is 2015! And he said the complete test is not needed because my hearing is good. The purpose of my visit was to get the complete test. Doctor recommended that I get test done every year, I though to my self, sure I will, but not from you. Also, I felt doctor had not taken the shower and was stinking. I don't recommend this doctor or clinic to anyone.
I thought Dr. Rousso was great. He saw me soon after I arrived. He knew exactly what to do to treat my condition. He's done the same type of surgery many times. The surgery was completed in about half an hour and he saw to it that I was scheduled to come back in the middle of next week. I will definitely refer any of my friends or relatives to see him for a consultation.
I think that Dr. Rousso is by far one of the most caring, compassionate and accessible doctors, I have ever met. I also like to give kudos to Valerie and Tiffany, who are his administrative assistants.
Very professional, helpful, and gave great advice.
I liked him and I'll go back for the follow-up appointment. The long wait was very unfortunate though.
He was very helpful in answering my concerns and answering questions related to possible causes of my condition and also helping out with prescriptions. I was able to get some peace of mind, although I would need more follow-up with another specialist in order to determine the cause of my condition and also fix my problems.
Joseph Rousso is great. The staff working the office, not so much. Rude, slow, and filling out your data ahead of time on zocdoc for this office means absolutely nothing. They threw some excuse about having been acquired by Mount Sinai. So, I had to fill out a ton of incredibly repetitive forms... that I had for the most part already filled out. I feel that the staff were even slower after I tried to find out why they weren't using the data I sent through zocdoc.
Excellent experience. In fact, I plan to suggest to my primary care physician that he refer to Dr. Rousso patients who need to see an ear, nose, and throat specialist.
Dr. Rousso is awesome. Very nice, gentle, attentive, and confident. (And handsome and well dressed, in case that matters to you. It certainly made my visit just a touch more pleasant.)
Visit was good. Diagnosed the problem, explained it well, prescribed medication and explained the dosage. Had to wait a while to be seen, but didn't really mind. He was apologetic for the wait.
Dr. Rousso was spectacular. Smart, listened to my issues, asked a variety of thoughtful questions to help identify and resolve my issue. Would absolutely recommend him to others.
I really liked Dr. Rousso for a number of reasons: 1) He listened to the issues I was experiencing and the treatments that have been prescribed to me in the past. 2) He was attentive and had a great "bedside manner". I told him I did not like the way that my previous ENT used a scope along with a numbing nasal spray to look into my nose. Dr. Rousso suggested we try it without the spray and said that if I was in pain to just let him know and he would stop. The experience, although it will never be pleasant, was 100 times better than any other time I've had it done. 3) He took the time to give me specific instruction on how to use my treatment. 4) He made sure he gave me two viable prescription options in case my insurance didn't cover one of them as well as a coupon for the recommended option (again in case it wasn't covered).
Very professional and makes sure your treatment is best for your specific needs.
an excellent doctor and very understanding toward my needs... I would tell my friends about him and I would be seeing him again next month.... I am highly happy....
