Dr. Engel grew up in Hemingford, Nebraska where he graduated from High School. He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney for his undergraduate studies and then went on to attend the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where he graduated with honors in 2002. He is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and Nebraska Optometric Association. He has practiced in the Lincoln area for the past 21 years joining Bethany Vision Clinic in July 2016. His hobbies include golfing and traveling, Husker Athletics, and spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys volunteering his time at his local church. His professional approach is practicing evidence-based medicine while continually striving to utilize the most technologically advanced contact lens and spectacle lens materials to improve his patients' quality of life.
