Most of my training and experience has been with adults with chronic/severe mental illness in a community mental health clinic. I have also worked almost exclusively with clients who are members of ethnic minority groups and economically disadvantaged. Therefore, I have been able to assist many clients who have had to face multiple obstacles in addition to their mental health issues. I see psychotherapy as a collaborative process in which everyone has the potential to find their own solutions and make positive changes but may just need some guidance. Whether your therapy goal is to learn how to better cope with relationship issues, life transitions, grief/loss, or even suicidal thoughts, I can assist and walk with you on that journey. I am particularly interested in working with women's health issues such as coping with infertility and perinatal/postpartum depression/anxiety and have completed additional training and education in this area. I embrace and am sensitive to multicultural diversity.
