“Dr. Chor was amazing. I had told her about my past experience and was very nervous of getting a Pap smear done. She communicated with me and walked me throughout the whole process. She had a resident that was helping her and the resident was very gentle, did the procedure while being supervised by Dr. Chor and I did not feel any pain. Best experience so far! I’m so satisfied and will recommend anyone and everyone to see Dr. Chor for your Gyn exam .”

About Dr. Julie Chor
Please note - Dr. Chor only sees patients ages 13-26. Julie Chor, MD, MPH, is a gynecologist who specializes in family planning and contraceptive counseling. She also has a strong interest in adolescent health, medical ethics and global issues in maternal health. Dr. Chor currently serves as the primary investigator on several studies that examine the impact of doulas (nonmedical labor coaches who offer emotional and informational support) on different aspects of pregnancy. In the past, she has studied reproductive health experiences of women with cardiovascular disease and other medical conditions. Dr. Chor’s work has been funded by the Society of Family Planning, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, and other notable organizations. A dedicated mentor, Dr. Chor teaches medical students about family planning and reproductive health. She frequently advises residents and fellows on research projects that cover a wide range of gynecological topics. In addition, Dr. Chor is often invited to speak at national and international conferences on contraception and reproductive health.

She was respectful, and took the time to look me in the eye, listen, and give me step by step directions for what she would be doing in the office visit. I feel like Dr. Chor really got to know me as a person and was sympathetic and supportive. I was never uncomfortable during my visit or exam, and I felt like she respected me and my space. I absolutely loved this doctor!!! She took time to go over my medical history and current life/health for a while before going into my procedures. I very much enjoyed my visit.. She had lots of questions for me and was able to answer them with referrals to many other doctors for treatment. I really did feel she was listening and not just answering questions, if she didn't know the answer she referred me to imagining and labs.. Loved knowing I was getting somewhere with my diagnosis..
